Caring for Your Extensions

Extensions done well are invisible. Extensions kept well stay invisible. Here's how to give yours the life they deserve.

**Washing.** Wash less often than you think. Two to three times a week is plenty for most guests. Use a sulfate-free shampoo, work it through gently with the grain of the hair, and never pile your hair on top of your head to scrub. Condition from the mid-lengths down, keeping product away from the attachment points.

**Brushing.** Brush daily, and brush like you mean it. Hold the roots with one hand and work from the ends up with the other, so you're never pulling against the attachments. A soft-bristle or loop brush is kindest. The five minutes this takes is the single highest-return habit in extension care.

**Sleeping.** Never sleep on wet extensions. Before bed, gather your hair into a loose braid or a low, soft ponytail. This is the simplest thing you can do to prevent the morning tangle. Silk or satin pillowcases are a quiet luxury that genuinely earns its keep.

**Heat and water.** Your extensions can handle heat styling the way your own hair can: with protection, in moderation. Chlorine and saltwater are harsher, so rinse before swimming, and braid the hair while you're in the water. If you're spending a week at the beach, come see us first and we'll prep you.

Maintenance. Extensions are a relationship, not a one-time appointment. Most guests return every four months, at which point we recommend an entirely new application. All of our extension work is all-inclusive: the consultation, the hair, the application, the cut, color, fitting, removal, and your maintenance guidance are quoted as one honest price before we begin. We share the same goals you do, such as growing out your natural hair, and we care about the integrity of your natural hair.

The throughline of all of it: treat your extensions the way you'd treat luxurious hair, because that's what they are.
